Michael Bender, Sr. was born on a sunny Friday, May 12, 1995, to the loving embrace of Vera Bender and Gary "Wydell" Gammage. Growing up, Michael displayed a curious mind and a compassionate heart, which were nurtured in his formative years in Pachuta, Mississippi. He graduated from Heidelberg High School in 2013, where he was known for his leadership skills and unwavering dedication to his community. Continuing his education, Michael attended East Central Community College, graduating in July 2015, a testament to his perseverance and ambition.

In January 2015, Michael married the love of his life, embarking on a journey filled with joy and challenges. Though the marriage faced a setback in 2021, Michael's story took a heartwarming turn as the couple reconciled in 2024, stronger and more united than before. Together, they share the joy of raising their son, Michael Bender, Jr., a lively and inquisitive eight-year-old who is the apple of his father's eye.

Michael's spiritual journey began early, as he was licensed to preach the gospel in 2012 under the mentorship of the esteemed and late Bishop Sammie Jones. His calling led him to establish The Cloud Church in 2018, a vibrant and inclusive Apostolic Pentecostal ministry located in Bay Springs, MS. The church, a sanctuary for many, reflects Michael's deep commitment to multiculturalism and spiritual growth.

Deeply rooted in the teachings of the For the Love of God Churches of the Apostolic Faith, Worldwide, Inc., Michael now continues his spiritual work as an Independent Apostolic Agent of God as the General Overseer of The Cloud Church, Inc. He holds credentials and is affiliated with the Apostolic World Christian Fellowship (AWCF). His ministry is characterized by a fervent passion for outreach and evangelism, with particular focuses on assisted living ministry, jail ministry, recovery ministry, and feeding ministry. Michael's life mission is to transform lives through God’s word, help souls be saved, and bring healing to all who seek it.
